Abortion and Euthanasia

The dictionary definition of weakness is, “ the state or condition of being weak.” As Christians, we feel tenderly towards those who have a weakness. We feel protective of them, as we know that they may not be as strong mentally or physically. In today’s society, the weakest people are the very young and the very old.

As Christians we are kind to the very young, for instance newborn babies, as we feel protective over them as they are very small and cannot tell people if they have a problem. So Christians are very protective and make sure that they are cared for and in no pain.

As Christians we are also considerate to the very old. We are always ready to assist the elderly in tasks they are unable to complete, and as with newborn babies feel protective over them as we know that as people get older their bodies find it harder to fight against illnesses and such, so we make sure that the elderly are well looked after. Unlike newborn babies, the elderly do have the ability to tell someone if they are in pain but can sometimes find it hard to make their voices heard, so as Christians we make sure that the elderly are alive and healthy.

As Christians we support the weak, and so we also support charities that do the same.

As Christians it is also our duty to value other people’s opinions. This may seem contradicting after saying that Christians should try and convince others of their teachings, which we should. But we must also remember that after we have explained our beliefs to a non-Christian and they still do not wish to follow our beliefs, we must respect their decision and try not to force our beliefs onto them. We must not sit in judgement of non-Christians as we could then be considered to be intolerant of others beliefs.
