Wal-Mart In Disguise

Wal-Mart leads us to believe that their rollback prices are the best thing for the American people. Wal-Mart also leads us to believe that the American people are saving money by shopping at Wal-Mart; however, Wal-Mart is saving money at the expense of the American people instead. Wal-Mart is rolling-over the American people and their families by costing them their jobs and/or money.

When Wal-Mart makes an agreement with their American suppliers, Wal-Mart lets them know that their main concern is getting the lowest price possible for products. Wal-Mart also gives them an estimated volume and promise that their products will be in over two thousand stores. Therefore, the American suppliers have to spend more money hiring more employees for production, to meet Wal-Mart’s agreement and spend more money for extra warehouse space. However, Wal-Mart will deduct payments from the suppliers for late and partial shipments


Most importantly, Wal-Mart does in fact, save the American people money when they shop at the Wal-Mart stores, by offering rollback prices. However, many American manufacturers are going out of business because of corporations like Wal-Mart purchasing most of their products from low-wage foreign countries. Wal-Mart knows that these low-wage foreign countries will make products for them at very cheap price because they are desperate and need the American money. Wal-Mart knows and does not care that these countries use children, slaves, and prisoners to help make the products for the United States, nor does Wal-Mart care about the very poor working conditions that these people have to work in. Wal-Mart only cares about the profits they are going to make off the American people, once the products arrive.
