What Happened To The Lost City Of Atlanis?

Atlantis was claimed to be the source of all religion, science, races, and civilizations. It was here that technology made its first appearance in recordation. Ironically enough, nearly every source of its documentation was destroyed with the island itself. Yes, the land of Poseidon was destroyed, but how you ask? No one is completely sure of its destruction, or even of its existence, but many have a similar theory in which I believe as well.

Solely based on my opinion, as well as previous knowledge, I’ll try to explain this boggling mystery. What’s very interesting to me is that every culture and religion has seemed to write their version of what we call the “Legend of Atlantis”,

Many theories suggest Atlantis existed during the Pleistocene Ice Age. If these ideas are proven to be true, then the Bible and other holy writings may be incisively accurate. The Bible speaks of great flooding, and science proves its theory through the ice age. This ice age was somehow triggered to becoming a natural disaster. Since ice ages are very difficult to study and understand, we have limited knowledge of what caused its depletion.

Legendary stories will confirm the “sinking” of Atlantis, but what triggered the depletion of the ice age to cause such massive flooding? Well, many Atlantean stories tell of a mountain of paradise, otherwise known as Mount Atlas, named after the god of the sky who was also Poseidon’s son. This mountain was so high and rugged, and built in strength by Poseidon himself, that no mortal could survive its fury. The stories continue with the greedy corruption of the Atlantean people, and as punishment Poseidon commands Mount Atlas to release it’s overwhelming rage. The rumbling of the mighty mountain shook the ground viciously, causing fire to shoot towards the sky. If this story were a reliable source of information, the complexity of Atlantis would be easier to solve.
