Many of us have a role model or hero in our life, but are actors and athletics really role models or heroes? We always know who the hero is going to be in the movies but we never know who the true hero of our society will be. Media heroes come and go and will always be hard to remember but true heroes always have lasting impression on us and we can always think about them. People chose heroes in ways that they know that they are heroes, but all heroes always share something and that something is that they do something good for all people.

True heroes are the people that we never really hear about unless there is a big tragedy or a courageous act is performed. True heroes to me are my parents because they have raised me to become a good person and never to give up. When I was little, my dad and mom would always push me in every sport I played in. My dad would always say, “If you are going to do anything, do the best that you can.” My mom would always teach me how to be a team player and also right from wrong. That is why today I have such a good work ethic, and without it I don’t think I would be playing football still. My godfather was a firefighter back in Rhode Island when I was a little boy. When the World Trade center tragedy happened, I started thinking of my godfather. He meant a lot to me, and he passed way when I was young child.
