Who Is Resposible For The Death Of Patroklos

Patroklos was one of the pivotal characters in the Iliad, and it is difficult to place the blame for his death on one individual. For instance, Achilleus, finest and most honored of the ?flowing hair Achaians?, may be at fault for following his childish anger and sending his friend, Patroklos, to fight in his place. Perhaps, Hektor, the warrior who physically killed Patroklos, should be held accountable for the man?s death. Even Zeus, king of the gods, can be held responsible for the death of Patroklos because of his sometimes direct involvement with the battle for Troy. But upon further look, one discovers that the cause of the downfall of Patroklos is not a fellow soldier in the Greek Army, a Trojan warrior whose is driven by killing Achaians, or even a god; the reason that Patroklos is dead is Patroklos. Though it is unclear whether Patroklos knew he would parish on the battle fields of Troy, the result of his death subsequently causes Achilleus?s rage and hatred towards the Trojans to escalate to a new level, and causes his conscious to force him into the heat of battle.
