1. Three ways in which studying world history may be important to me is for knowledge, skills, and insight. Knowledge is very important for everyone because it allows us to gain a better understanding of everything that occurs around us and of life in general. History helps us to understand the past and to use this knowledge of the past as a stepping stone for the future. It also helps us to discuss current issues and gain better and broader insights on various issues that affect the world.

2. The invention of the wheel was important because it made transportation much easier and quicker. The use of fire was important because it was used for the cooking of food. Ability to cooperate in mutually beneficial project was important because it allowed for people to trust each other. Domestication of animals was important because it led to farming.

The use of metals is a measure of humanity¡¯s progress toward a more complex civilization because over a period of time, the use of metals allowed for the invention of buildings and eventually the creation of cities.
