The minor characters are Ellie and Bill, Jeff and Amy Newman. Ellie and Bill are Karen’s parents. Jeff and Amy are her older brother and younger sister.

This book is basically about a family that is getting ready to go through a divorce. The Family consists of five people the two teenagers, one child, and the two parents.
