UFO
UFOs, real or hoax? One of the greatest unanswered questions known to mankind. Although many people have been able to describe what UFOs look like, they almost always fail to prove it, or they just have a blurry picture or taping of one. One of the earliest sighting was seen by a pilot named Kenneth Arnold. What he said was, “Suddenly, a bright flash seemed to light up my airplane.” (Arnold 6). After this he claimed to see 9 separate disk-shaped objects. Kenneth, after noticing this, tried to fix the speed at which the UFOs were going, and got an estimate of 1,350 mph, way faster than his plane. While people like Kenneth only see the flying object, Lonnie Zamora, was one of the lucky ones. He claims that not only did he see a UFO, he saw the people inside it as well. It was broad daylight and he said that he saw a “flame in the sky.” (Zamora 106). After seeing this, he left the car he was in and walked to see what was really going on. On his way there he described it as, “a shiny object in the distance and alongside the object were two people in white overalls.” (Zamora 106). Although Lonnie Zamora has claimed to see the UFO and the people, he does not have any proof of this, just as Kenneth Arnold doesn’
t have any proof. As for now, we can only take their word. My last example for this issue is crop circles. Crop circles are a design of a very complex geometrical shape that takes place overnight in a crop field. Many of the shapes are near perfect to be made by humans and would seem nearly impossible for them to do overnight without ever being noticed or traced. They have been mystifying us for the past years, and yet, no one is able to figure out what they mean. Many believe that these crop circles are made by visitors from outer space. People, although, reveal themselves to say that they are the ones who created the crop circles the whole time. They say they plan it out first, then use planks made from wood to lay down the crops. I don’t believe this is true, due to the fact that some circles are made across the globe at the same night, being impossible for then to travel that fast. Another important factor is that while some hoaxers claim to use wooden planks, this will surely snap the stem of the crop. Scientist say that the, “real circles” are not snapped, but are bent and charred. (Mahony 1), . The stem appears to be subjected to a very intense heat for only a short period of time, which makes it melt, then bending, and finally hardening into a parallel position into the ground. According to research, there are only 2 possible causes for the stems to react this way. Those causes are a microwave and ultra sound, and I don’t think that anybody would go out and use either of those elements to create a crop circle.
