French and British Relations with the Native Americans
When the French and England colonists came to explore America they were not expecting to encounter the Native Americans. French settlers accepted the Native Americans as equal but British settlers, on the other hand, viewed them as hostile because of economic, social, and cultural reasons. The French learned to trade and get along with the Native Americans, but the British were not able to accept them.
