Another important feature that adds to Vertical Limit is the special effects used in the movie. Many scenes throughout the movie would be impossible to shoot and therefore were created on a computer. Many backdrops such as gigantic mountain ranges, huge vertical ice walls and avalanches were created digitally. Also, helicopters and eye-dazzling explosions were added to enhance the reality of the movie. The computer-generated images in Vertical Limit create magic that most other action movies don’t have.
