Race and Gender
Race and genre are two of the most important and determinant aspects in someone’s life. Even though I don’t agree and accept this fact, that is what it is, a fact. Society has put in the job of naming people based in the color of their skin, the culture they belong to, religious believes and thoughts, or their genre. Each one of these aspects are, in some cases and to some people, what determines what someone is capable or not to do in society’s development. Race, defined as the color of the skin of a person, has been for ages and centuries the most determinant aspect for someone. Centuries before, a man born white was very different to a man born black. The white boy was grown up differently than the black boy. The white always had opportunities to study, to go where ever he wanted, to work and be paid for it, to buy a house
and the most important of all: to express himself. Instead the black boy was not able to study, could not learn to read and write, could not move around the town or city by the places he wanted, had the obligation to work but was not paid for it and he never could express his thoughts. Nowadays there is people that are fighting to get an equal chance of opportunities, demonstrating what they can do by any means. The utopia is to have an equal world, where everybody have the same opportunities, consider every one the same than the rest of all. This utopian world is no longer a fantasy, even though there is people who consider themselves better because of their race or genre, the great majority have put away these believes.
