Its true that the establishment of a global university would help in solving the world's most persistent social problems...but there exist some risks too which need to be minimized else the whole purpose of the university gets defeated.
The biggest argument in favour of a global university is that its students and faculty would bring together diverse cultural and educational perspectives to the problems.But at the same time an overly diversifeid academic community might impede communication among students and faculty.However ,in my view,considering the growing awareness of other people and cultures,created by the mass media and internet have created ,this concern is unwarrented.Moreover ,most of the principles used in solving the social problems
to sum up a GU will not only bring the global problemns toi a commion platform it would also lessen the escalating cost burden of these problems but ubiting the research and resources.
These are the problems which have endangered the life of various life species incluyding humans..leading to the extinvction ogf some of them.This threatens to disturb the delicate ecological balance necessary for the survival of other species including mankind.
The next problem involves the risk that certain reseach avenues would become officially sanctioned while others of equal and greater potential may be proscribed.
