What changed my life? Not really, but maybe

Disappointment! Dejection! Sadness! All these combined helped me in the most important decision of my life. Today I’m going to talk about the most shaping event of my life. The most shaping event of my life was when I played in the High School baseball state tournament this past summer. Specifically, I’m going to tel you what the most shaping event was, how it changed me, and how I grew from it.

My dream ever since was a little tike was to be a college football player at the University of Ohio State. As my senior year of high school began, that dream that I had was in the process of coming true. As Ohio State was in the process of winning their 1st National Championship in 34 year, they were also recruiting me. No they weren’t recruiting me as a quarterback, which I received All-Ohio at, they wer


Through this decision, I grew up tremendously. I put an entire week of thought into this decision and it was all me. Everybody, including my parents, thought that I was going to Ohio State and they were just as surprised as anyone was when I made the decision. I would probably never play at Ohio State and I would never have a significant impact in a game like I could pitching at Marietta. A lot of factors came into my decision and I am very proud to be here at Marietta.

The most disappointing moment of my life gave me a new outlook on what I was meant to do for the next four years of my life. I wasn’t supposed to go somewhere, dedicate 90% of my free time to a sport, win a national championship ring, and not even going to play in.
