Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain has changed people’s perceptive on fame. When most people hear the word fame, they think of money, glory, and happiness, but with Kurt, he had money and glory, but seriously lacked happiness. He was loved by millions of people, but did not love himself and that is the tragedy of it all, he was his own destruction.

On April 5, 1994, the world lost one of its most revolutionary musicians of all time. Nirvana totally changed the sound of the 90’s and gave Rock and Roll a big comeback. Before the 90’s music consisted the sounds of Wilson Phillips and Michael Bolton. Nirvana feed the hungry ears of the million of starving music lovers all over the world, who had suffered for 10 years of hair bands and synthesizer pop. Without Nirvana, many of the bands that exist today would cease to exist. They defined the sound of the 90’s, which would not have been the same without them.

Kurt Donald Cobain was born on February 20, 1967 in Aberdeen, Washington to the parents of Donald and Wendy Cobain. His mom, Wendy, spent all of her time at home taking care of Kurt; while his dad, Don, worked as an auto mechanic. Even as a young child, Kurt, showed an interest in music. Wendy's family had a history of musicans in the family.

Her brother, Chuck, was in a band called the Beachcombers and her sister Mari played guitar.

Kurt was still continuing to see Courtney Love who he met almost a year ago. Kurt began contemplating asking Courtney to marry him. Courtney soon became pregant with Kurt's child and Kurt decided to suck it up and ask Courtney to be his bride. They were married on the beach of Waikiki on February 24, 1992. Eight months later, Frances Bean Cobain was born. Kurt wanted to be the best father he could be. He wanted to not make the same mistakes that his parents made with him.

At dawn on April 5, 1994, he climbed up the stairs to the greenhouse behind his home. He held in his hands, several towels, a cigar box, and a shotgun. He opened the doors and slowly crepted in. He shut the doors and sat down by a window, for no one could see him here. He opened the cigar box and pulled out a small packet containing the deadly drugs that had sonsumed most of his adult life, herion. He took half of the herion out of the bag and prepared it for injection. He then released the deadly liquid into his viens. Everything was starting to become hazy and an aqua green color lined every object. He picked up the shotgun lying besides him, stuck it in his mouth and pulled the trigger. He was finally free of the pain and torment that had consumed his life. Kurt Cobain may be dead, but the memory of him will live on forever.

About 2 years before Kurt had became famous, he fell into a drug called herion and as fame progressed, the drug seemed to consume him. Fame only seemed to add to the stress of Kurt's everyday life and having millions of dollars to buy about anything he wanted, didn't help to stop the herion addiction. Herion was the only thing that seemed to make him happy for a few brief moments, music no longer made Kurt happy. Kurt had checked into several rehabilition centers but nothing seemed to work. After he left the last rehab center he would ever go to, he went with his friend Jesse
