Video Games and Memory Loss
My 12-year-old son has a Sega DreamCast, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Nintendo, and a computer with over a hundred games combined. He wants to play video games from the time he wakes up to the time he goes to bed. If he is not at home playing, then he is at his friend’s house playing with his Playstation II. When he goes to his friend’s house, I’ll tell him to be home at 8:00pm, but doesn’t come home until 8:30pm. When he gets home, I’ll ask, “ What time did I say to be home?” He will say, “Oh! Just let me finish this one thing.” I’ll say, “You have five minutes.” When his time is up, I’ll say, “ Turn off the game and go to bed.” “Oh! Ok, I forgot!” is his answer. After he is done getting ready for bed, he will then ask me if he can play when he wa
