Most Americans agree that Iraq has become a severe threat to the U.S. It has been said that they are planning to launch a chemical attack on U.S. soil, which Americans would have thought was impossible if not for the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Now, there seems to be no other choice, there is going to have to be a war to disarm Iraq, no matter what the consequences may be.
Some Americans cannot wait for the day that President George W. Bush declares that the U.S. is now at war with Iraq. If it is true that Iraq is planning a chemical attack, it is vital that they are forcefully disarmed as fast as possible. However, some of the effects that might occur because of this war are going to be horrible, such as the number of military personnel that will be lost and th
e drop in the Hampton Roads economy.
Some may say that the price the U.S. has to pay to disarm Iraq is too great, but, to the American people, it will all be worth it as they continue to bring up their families in freedom.
