The Lady and the Tiger

The gardener's son looked at his lover from the centre of the arena, waiting tentatively for the key signal that would bring him to safety. Watching her eyes made him think what would happen if she betrayed him? With great will power he dismissed those thoughts. When the princess raised her hand and made a quick movement to the right, he looked and with a wicked smile began to move towards the dreaded doors. The princess, away from the prisoner, gave him a warm and encouraging smile, securing his belief that she adored him.
As the sun set on the horizon, a cold breeze blew through the arena followed by an eerie silence. The gardener's son began walking more slowly as he approached towards the chosen door. As he came upon the gate, he began remembering the first day he ever saw the princess, gazing throughout her window and staring at the natural world that surrounded the fortress, while the gardener's son stood quietly, whilst millions of diverse thoughts crossed his naked mind. One of those beliefs that were constantly hitting his soul but his mind was not conscious about the doom that was waiting for him in a near future.
His heart started to beat faster; he then swiftly grasped the handle of the dark brown door and was suddenly sent flying by the gate as it swung back to reveal a roaring wild beast waiting to strike the prisoner's flesh. He had no choice but to assault the carnivore, but in moments the razor sharp claws went directly through the man's heart. The last obsession he saw before he died was the princess rueful grin. The crowd cheered as evil heave upon the arena, the king maintained in his throne while millions of peasants around the coliseum praised the king. .
After the days events had settled, the people returned to their homes thinking about the results of what was behind that door. Some were satisfied with the outcome of the whole event while others remained unhappy at what the door held behind it.
