It is easy to see just how affordable the California State University system is when compared to other colleges of its kind in the US. From what I’m told one main reason a lot students decide to attend San Jose State or CSU is because it is not as expensive as a lot of other school in California. When looking for which university to apply to tuition cost was a big deal. I found that San Jose State has one of the lowest costs for tuition. Blimber says that even if the CSU tuition doubled it would still be within the standard of American schools. I find that very impressing, don’t you? That means that there are a lot of people getting the same education and paying twice as much.

An increase on tuition and still Blimber says it’s worth it. He says it was because of the current California budget crisis. With Gray Davis cutting services everywhere it causing the state university system to experience similar hardship, and some of the weight has been positioned upon the students themselves. I agree to that unto an extent, I don’t think that students should have to pay for the mistake of someone else. I didn’t have any say in this and neither did many first year students.
