How Society Treat People Who Are Different


            Society treats and judges people by the way they look. If they don't like something about .
             your appearance they"ll tease and dislike you. People don't take the time to get to know .
             others before they judge. You have to really know a person before you can say anything .
             be it positive or negative about them. One of the most common ways of discrimination is .
             racism/bigotry. A person who is racist, is someone who is against someone else because .
             of their race, culture or religion. Racism was most popular many years ago when Blacks .
             were slaves, and Jews were killed. They were treated extremely unfairly because of their .
             ways of life. Even though this went on many years ago, and is illegal now, people still .
             form racist groups, and have hatred to those that are different in race. There are support .
             groups in communities that prevent racism and try to get people involved and supporting .
             the groups. Nowadays things are much better, people have rights to be treated fairly. But .
             people are still bullied, harassed, and even murdered nowadays by the few number of .
             people who still believe in racism. This is illegal but people still do it. Some other wrong .
             doings are the repetition of the "n" word, which is a rude and slang name to call Blacks .
             by; also there is the drawing of the nazi sign. Just the other day I was in the mall, and saw .
             a store selling an earring in the shape of the nazi sign. I was totally against this, and I felt .
             like saying something about it, but instead I just left the store, and decided to buy my .
             earrings somewhere else.
