Intelligence – what is it, how can we measure it and can we rely upon the results given by different tests like IQ or psychology ones? It has long been an issue of debate of different scientists, and almost everyone had its own point of view according to the word “intelligence”. The research made by American journalists in 1985 can serve as a vivid example of this. A group of journalists made a request to twenty-five different independent researchers united one common idea – the study of functions of brain and its supreme activity- intelligence, to give a definition to the word “intelligence”. The results are turned out to be as were expected. The journalists got twenty-five completely different definitions describing the word “intelligence”.
