College Entrance

            Ever since I was a little boy growing up in Middletown Ga, I have had big dreams and goals although I was not sure about college prosy at the time I knew if I wanted to expand myself mentally as well as a individual. I believe that I have partially reached my goal while attending Platt Technical High School and it's time to take the next step.
             At the end of my junior year my grandmother passed away from cancer, my grandma and I were very close and I will never forget that she told me to never give up or I won't accomplish anything in life. And I do believe she would be proud because I have worked hard to get were I am today. I work part time after school to help support my family and I still manage to stay on the honor roll, which I have been on every trimester since freshman year. I will be the first one in my family who will finish high school, and. I am looked upon even more because I will have trade when I finish, but to go to college would be a goal that is looked upon most of all because I succeeded and surpassed the dreams and ambitions I personally have. While at Vinal I chose to pursue a education in the electrical technology. In electrical I have learned methods from motor controls to simple residential wiring. While at Platt one of the accomplishments I am most proud of is being inducted into pro-tech which is a gifted and talented program. The program offers lots of activities that enrich the talents of gifted students. Upon entering my junior year I was enrolled in the Wesleyan humanities program in which students involved go to the Wesleyan campus were seminars are given by professor's who are well known in there field of study and they give discussions on books we read on a designated curriculum. In the beginning of my senior I was enrolled in the Tech -Prep program in association with gateway community college to earn credits for work I have already and will be complete.
