The movie “Parent Hood” presented many different situations that theory can be applied to. There are many interesting characters such as Gill, who from the start, reminisced of his childhood, Piaget’s Formal Operational Stage. How his father would take him to a baseball game once a year on his birthday. Gill was a child of neglectful parenting from his father. As he sat at the game and looked back he realized that his father, whose name is Frank, was left alone by his father. Gill seemed to understand the product of not having a father at home and that is what his father displayed. Gill, by reflecting on his childhood swore that he would never become the father his dad was to his children. Gill I believe was an authoritative parent.
