The first time I went to college it was a learning experience. I did not go for the right reason.
The reason I went to college was to get away from home. After I graduated from high school, in 1987, my parents fought much more than before. They got a divorce soon there after. So I decided to go to Arlington Baptist College. I thought if I went to college, and lived in the dorm, it would help me forget all the problems at home. While going to college, and living in the dorm I met several new friends. Some of those friends I still talk to today. I remember the good times I had with those friends. One that I recall with great fondness was when I crept out of the dorm window, which was against the rules, and met up with the
I went to ABC for one whole school year. In that one year I had to get several student loans, to pay for books and classes. I even had a bill for room and board .It took me ten years to pay off one year of college. The loans and debt lasted longer than most of the friends that I made. The reason I went to AB C for only one year is because my grades were all average or below average. I did not put any effort in to school and thus, my grades suffered academic probation after the first year this kept me from continuing. The good times, and the friends could not keep me motivated to do well in my classes. I chose to not go back to school, and I moved back home.
