There have been many predictions of what the future will be like by scores of writers in the past and present. Some have been extremely wrong and some have been frighteningly close to what reality has become. Though, I think many will agree, none come close to creating the buzz that George Orwell created when he wrote and released the unforgettable 1984. The novel, which was released in 1949, produced a nightmarish vision of the future let people know what the world can become when run by unquenchable greed and hate. I think the novel’s main theme was that if we are not careful Orwell’s vision of “1984” can and will catch up to us. The theme of this book is a warning. The vision of daily life and how the government works that is portrayed, is not impossible to achieve. Orwell was giving everyone advice in writing this book. He was telling us not to let the government control every single aspect of our lives. In 1984 the entire government has become completely uniform If this happens we will only become toys for the system like every character in this novel. It is completely possible for Orwell’s future to exist in our daily lives. With
