Work Place Problem

I strongly believe that the success of any organization heavily depends on the efficiency and competency of its human resource. The real asset of an organization is its workforce and if the employees work as a dedicated team and remain focused and committed to the goals of the organization, its smooth and effective functioning is ensured.

Designated at the post of Director of Marketing Affairs, I am acutely aware of my tasks and responsibilities. It has always been my aim to give my optimum performance and achieve the tasks assigned to me in a competent manner. I am also conscious of my role as the leader of the marketing team. I have always ascertained that all members of my team work with cooperation and we achieve our goals efficiently as a committed team. We, the members of the marketing team are aware of our individual responsibilities as well as our role in the overall performance of the team. This is the reason that we have always reached our targets on time and accomplished our objectives successfully.

In the past few months it has been observed that the efficiency of the marketing team has reduced and we have shown deceleration in achieving our targets. It is a matter of grave concern and in order to remov


I believe that the Human Resource Department should look into the matter and make things clear so that the problem is erased completely and problem of such a nature does not arise in other departments of the organization.

Consciously or unconsciously, he has also been trying to damage my reputation in the team as a leader and to create disharmony between me and other members of the team. He passes wrong information to other members of the team whenever I speak to him about some official matter in order to create doubts and mistrust among team members. He has been trying to develop in other members of the team the impression that I am unduly taking advantage of my position by treating all of them as subordinates and undermining their worth and participation in the team. To a certain extent he has been able to win the sympathies of some of the team members and they have also started showing signs of improper attitude.

A workplace environment is one where many individuals bearing different dispositions, coming from various backgrounds, having diverse experiences and possessing distinctive skills assemble at one place and work together towards achieving the objectives of the organization. Sometimes there arises a problem when any one individual is incapable to overcome his personal differences and arrive at a point where he can easily communicate with others and work with them. When even one individual is unable to work on the same wavelength with others, due to any reason, the whole team suffers and the performance of the team is affected considerably.
