Late one Friday night after a homecoming game my mother and I were on our way home. She said to me "Carolyn have you had a chance to enroll at Halifax Community College. It has now been a year and one semester at Halifax Community College since, I lost the argument. My college issue has been resolved. I will be attending St. Johns University in the Spring of 2003. I thank my mother for helping me out in every way she could. No matter how much something seems so right, you should still seek advice, and guidance to help u along the way. Before I could say another word she replied, “ STOP!” Now you will listen to what I have to say. If you stay you will save money, also can still help out at home, and stay for free of charge.
