USM Universal Secure Mobile
ACCESSMATRIX™ UNIVERSAL SECURE MOBILE (USM)AccessMatrix™ Universal Secure Mobile (USM) provides a complete; highly secure method of authenticating users using the GSM Short Message Service (SMS) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services. Service providers like stockbrokers and banks can immediately leverage the millions of ordinary mobile phones that are currently in use globally, to conduct business transactions with their valuable customers. The mobile phone with a PKI/SIM card is effectively a Personal Trusted Device (PTD) to enable secure Internet and mobile commerce. USM features include user authentication, authorization, confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, audit trails and single point of administration.
A transaction initiated via a browser connected to the Internet is sent to a mobile phone via SMS for approval by the originator of the transaction or another person with approval authority. The transaction data sent to the mobile phone will be integrity protected and encrypted with a 1024-bit RSA public key. The transaction details will be displayed on the mobile phone’s display window after it is decrypted by the special ePKI/SIM card on the mobile phone.
