Since the age of five, I have lived in the rural town of Greenfield, Iowa. Greenfield has taught me many important experiences about life in the past thirteen years, but nothing compared to what I have encountered in the past six weeks of living in Maryville, Missouri. Although both towns are wonderful places to live, Maryville has many more educational, cultural, and occupational opportunities.

There are approximately six or seven large companies that employ about 75 percent of the working people who live in Greenfield. Apart from those companies, the remaining 25 percent of Greenfield residents work at grocery stores, convenience stores, and for the town.
Maryville is more of a diverse town, mostly due to the fact that many of the students who attend Northwest Missouri State University come from many different ethnic backgrounds. I believe that this has taught me a lot about the differences between various cultures and the way people act and think. Interac
