My artist was born in the town of Le Cateau in Northern France and dies in the town of Nice in Southern France. The name of my painting is Nasturtiums with Dance II. It was painted in the year of 1912. The medium my artist used to paint this painting was oil on canvas. The subject of my painting is dancing. As I was flipping through the huge folder titled “Mattise” this painting was the only one that immediately caught my eye. What first interested me were the nude people dancing because they just seemed free. As soon as I saw it I said to myself, “this is my painting.” this painting made me feel weird inside like it has a deeper meaning, more than just dancing. No other painting caught my eye or interested me like this one.
