I have seen the workings and effects of both private schools and public schools. Public schools and private schools are similar and different in many ways. I grew up attending public schools. When I went to school, teachers taught us not only the things that were in the syllabus, but they also shared everyday experiences with us. They took the time to fit that into the curriculum. Public schools are completely different than they were twenty years ago. Schools are overcrowded. Students are learning things in their fifth grade year that I learned in my third grade year.
