The relationship of place, space and performance is one of the utmost importance, the total effect of the work can be totally altered by the values, politics, history, knowledge, and life of the site, and these qualities have enormous ability to portray a message that can be so profoundly deeper than that which is attempted in a traditional performance space. So all care should be taken when making decisions regarding how space and place are manipulated in performance making, they have the ability to produce a truly magical event.
