Finally, I would like to talk about the last main reason why students drink. This reason has nothing to do with their problems and/or environment. It has to do with the fact that they like it. Some of the most common explanations are: They like the taste, they like the feeling they get from drinking. They get encouraged when they drink. The first reason is pretty obvious, they like the taste of alcohol. This is actually real. I have tasted different types of beverages and not all of them taste badly. In fact some of them taste really good an example is the champagne. The second reason is because they like the feeling they get from drinking. In contrast form the first reason; some people drink because they think that the feeling that alcohol produces is great. I remember that a friend told me “ I think the taste of alcohol is very badly, but I only drink to feel the effects of the alcohol”. From this we can see that for some the only important thing is the effect that they get from drinking. The last reason is to get encouraged. When students drink they become more outgoing and sociable. They start talking and socializing with people that they do not know. They make decisions that they would never make when sober. For example, a student will approach a girl that he likes with more confidence when he is under the influence of alcohol than when he is in his state of mind.
