Walk Two Moons was about a girl named Sal who lived in BayBanks, Kentucky until she was thirteen years old. She loved living in BayBanks on a big farm trees and a pond. They had a wonderful family, but her mom never thought she was good enough. One day she woke up, left a note, and headed for Louisville, Idaho. She wrote notes and told them every place she stopped until she got there. When they got the last note they new she wasn’t coming back.
After she left Sal and her father packed up their bags and moved to Ohio. Sal didn’t want to go, but she didn’t have a choice. When she got there she didn’t like it at all.. There was hardly any grass and no trees. They stopped at a lady named Margaret’s house. She had orange hair! When she went inside she saw a girl looking through the window next door
Phoebe had a wild imagination. She thought Margaret murdered her husband and buried him in the backyard just because she saw her doing yard work one day. She always made things seem a lot bigger than they really were. During the story a man left notes on Phoebe’s porch every now and then. Phoebe called him the lunatic and he scared her family every time he left a note. Something was always happening with Sal and Phoebe.
