America and the Power of Gold
Before America was a leader politically and economically, it was gold that each country traded the merchandise. The gold was changed to US Dollar because gold is not stable, and many countries did not have much gold. Since then America controls the world economy, and every other countries work hard to manufacture inexpensive items to export to US. And they are paid in US Dollars. It was not so easy for America to take leadership economically because there was different society ideologically, like Soviet Union, East Germany and Main Land China. There were two World Wars, which Involved many countries. America helped other countries no matter how different their societies were. It formed such things as food aid and loans. America always opened its door for other countries to export inexpensive Merchandise to America. America wanted to export US made products to those countries. But many times those undeveloped countries made high duty taxes on the merchandise imported from foreign counties including America. Each country has its own currency but was not stable; therefore they try to obtain US Dollars by exporting cheap merchandise to US. Yes, I think the American economy can save the rest of the world.
America is a leader economically and politically. But it is very difficult to determine which way the world is going and how America kept it's leadership. The Euro may take more years to gain value and to obtain creditability to be a major currency to take a big role like US Dollars. World is getting smaller, one of the reasons is the manufacturing locations have been changed many times, for the first time in domestic locations like Mexico or China. It means one company owns operational locations and is a very international operation. Most likely, final America was and is now a leading country economically and also will be in the future. America economy shall influence all other Countries economies. All other countries have to follow America Economy. They do not have much choice. For example if America's economy has a cold other counties shall have pneumonia or be dead. In other words, America cannot afford to be recession nor shall US Dollar will lose its value against foreign currencies. In the future, what is needed is to protect the world from polluting water, mountains and air. The people have to discover the fuel to replace gasoline or natural gas. America plays Main role to keep peace in the world and spend billions Dollars for Troop and its expenses.
