The Meaning of Emotion
Have you ever imagined yourself sitting on the sandy beach and soaking up the sun’s golden rays? Have you ever imagined yourself being surrounded by thousands of tan, beautiful people waiting for the sun to go down so everyone can party it up? Well this is just what I experienced this summer! My sisters and I took a vacation to Cancun, Mexico this summer on July 14th through July eighteenth. We left my oldest sister’s house on the night of July thirteenth and drove to Dallas, Texas so we could catch our plane the following morning. When we arrived at the Holiday Inn in Dallas I fell asleep immediately. The next morning we woke up and caught a shuttle to the Dallas airport. We all got on our flight with Fun jet airlines at 11:00 that morning. The airplane had about seven seats on each row. I sat by my oldest sister, Jenny, and an Italian guy who had a funny accent. I was so bored that I fell asleep and before I knew it, we were in Cancun. My sisters and I were getting our luggage from the airport when I looked up and saw the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. He was tall, dark, and handsome. I didn’t really think much about it at the present moment because I was in Cancun and I was about to have the time
After we finished eating, we wanted to go clubbing. We called for the nearest taxi and headed to Carlos-n-Charlie’s. Whenever I walked into the club, the atmosphere amazed me. There was a stage with a piano on it in the middle of the dance floor. There was a cool breeze that drifted through every now and then because the place was half indoor and half outdoor. We sipped on a couple of drinks and decided to hit another hot spot in Cancun. We called for another taxi and had the driver take us to Senor Frogs, one of the most popular clubs in all of Cancun. When we arrived at Senor Frogs there were people in front of the club floating around in a kiddy pool. I knew right then that this place was going to be so much fun. We walked in and I instantly went to the dance floor and starting dancing with this fine African American man. After I danced for a while I decided that I was getting tired and that I wanted to go home. I gathered up my sisters and we headed out the door to find another taxi. After we arrived back at the hotel, my middle sister Amber and I decided that we were going to the 24 -hour buffet in our hotel. The buffet had hamburgers, hotdogs, French fries and alcoholic beverages. My sister and I each had a big, greasy hamburger. 9:00 rolled around and I decided to go down to the lobby to see if anything was going on and if my sisters were back from Cozumel. I decided to walk around by the pool to see if I could maybe, hopefully run into Eugene. I added a little extra bounce to my step and headed out the back door of the hotel to see if I could spot him. Luck unfortunately wasn’t with me and with him nowhere to be found; I decided to head back inside and up to my room to wait for his phone call. Before I even had a chance to open the door, I heard a voice. His deep, Russian accent caught me mid step and I held my breath as I turned around to see what he had to say. Eugene invited me to come out with him, to go to a foam party in the hotel next door to us. We had to catch a ride with a shuttle from the airport to the Oasis Cancun, the hotel my sisters and I would be staying at for the week. We each had to tip the driver ten dollars for a ten minute drive to our hotel. The people expected every single person to tip them for the smallest tasks. I woke up around 9:00 a.m. the next morning and decided to go have some breakfast before going to the beach. As I was walking to breakfast I saw the “handsome man” again. He was sitting at an outside table by the restaurant I happened to be walking into. I thought to myself that this is my opportunity to approach this guy and see what is underneath all those good looks. I slowly crept over to his table, smiled, and said hello, my name is Heather. He smiled back and told me his name was Eugene Nisenker. He had a sexy accent so I asked where he was from. He told me Russia, but is currently living in Canada. I told him that I was f
