My fascination in computers surfaced at the tender age of eight, that’s when I received my first computer, after a few days of clicking I managed to break the pc. It was a Packard Bell (stop the snickering) and at the time their machines used a program called “Navigator” which operated as intermediary between windows and the user, perfect for new users, although I somehow managed to break my newly acquired computer by somehow preventing Navigator from loading. I was devastated, my parents also baffled by how I managed to wreck such an expensive piece of technology in so little time. A couple of hours on hold finally connected me with text support and the contraption was fixed. From that moment on my interests in computers grew, partly because I did not want to eve


A computer with a connection to the internet is as many say a “gateway,” massive amounts of data all at your fingertips. I discovered the endless amount of information that computers offer, and wondered how my parents ever got along with out it. My interest increased and I continued to learn more about the different uses of a computer and began to integrate it to different aspects of my life as I grew. Somewhere in high school I got into programming, initially I fiddled with Basic and progressed to C++. I spent 3 semesters taking programming classes at my High School, all were taught in C++. With college around the corner I was heavily leaning on computer science as a major.
