For a place to be of as much importance as to remain in one’s memories for some time, the place should provide some good times and great stories. It must be a place that provides some indisputably excellent stories that can be cherished forever in one’s heart- whether it be with friends, family, or complete strangers. One place that does such a great job in creating memories is a beautiful camp on Lake Katherine, Camp Sunshine. This is the location of my senior prom after party. With just those words, images are already popping in your heads, and believe me, most of them became a reality.
The camp is actually the size of a full house. The whole camp is raised on long wood poles. It’s simply a really nice house placed on stil
As you walk on the pier back towards the camp, you will see a full cement backyard, complete with a pool and slide. Behind the pool is a covered patio equipped with swings and picnic tables. As you progress further back, you enter the storage room and the garage, which are located directly underneath the rest of the camp. Besides the bathroom, this was my favorite room. This is where the kegs were located. Remember, this was our senior prom after party, and yes, there was plenty of beer flowing out the kegs. In only two days, twenty people emptied four kegs of beer; however, the girls didn’t really drink that much beer. They fell back on the weak mixed-drinks.
