This may differ, as many are unaware that they have it and anonymous tests are excluded. That is scary to think that about one in thirty are infected. With the infection rate as high as it is, the doctor is more susceptible to the virus. There is no reason why the physicians and healthcare workers should not be allowed to have this information as there are no downsides to releasing this information. It benefits both the physician and the patient. The only reason this is an issue is because of the controversy that surrounds the disease. The well being of the doctor is more important than someone’s “feelings getting hurt”. The bottom line is this: If a physician is required to take care of you the least that the patient could do is allow this information to me released. It would save many lives.
