Pro Capital Punishment

DEATH PENALTY: Benefit or Harm to Society?

The practice of Death Penalty is probably as old as the beginning of this world. For most of our history, it was not as controversial as it is now. Since the sunrise of crimes most governments punished the major criminals by execution, which became a routine part of any society with law. During 1800’s, people started to realize the importance of individuals and criticized government practices they considered unjust, like Death Penalty. The debate over whether governments should utilize the death penalty still continues today. In my conclusion, I want to say that death penalty is a benefit to our society. May be it is inhuman but I think a ferocious man deserves inhuman behavior. Some say it is expensive but nothing is more expensive than an innocent life. A life is priceless, and we must do anything to preserve it.

If there was no death penalty, the only reasonable sentence would a life sentence. This would be costly to the taxpayers, not only for the cost of housing and feeding the prisoner but because of the numerous appeals, which wastes man-hours and money. By treating criminals in this manner, we are encouraging behavior that will result in a prison sentence. If there is no threat of death to one who commits a murder, than that person is guaranteed with a decent living environment until their next parole hearing. They are definitely not getting the punishment they deserve.

t that all the nations around the world, even those who do not have it anymore, once had death penalty in their law books throughout most of our history. The death penalty is still common to many countries in the world and hopefully will stay with us until all the crimes are wiped out from this world. I think it is far more unusual to not have a death penalty than to have a death penalty. Some people even say that it is cruel and unusual because it violates the Eight
