Breasts

The female bosom is one of the most glorified parts of the female anatomy. It is all over the media, be it in advertising, television, and even in video games. The omnipresence of breasts in today’s society establishes that sex is one of the major motivating elements for human beings.

There is no getting around it. The female breast has a definite sexual connotation. It plays a major part in reproduction. It is also a major instrument in foreplay for sexual intercourse. For example, touching of the breasts is halfway between “first and second base” in the baseball/sex analogy. In some peoples opinions touching the breasts is “second base.” I have asked men what they look for in women, and astoundingly the majority of the answers was that the girl “must have a nice rack.” Keep in mind that the majority of the people asked were men in their late teens, early twenties. Also, there are many pornographic videos emphasizing breasts, such as Penelope’s Pumpkins, Boobarella, Big Boob Bikini Bash, etc.

As shown, the breast is erotic and sensual; people use this fact in advertising to evoke the sexual impulse established by breasts. For example, Hooters is a restaurant chain where the waitresses wa

Deeper into the entertainment field one comes across such things as video games. Many females portrayed in video games have larger than normal breasts. One example is Lara Croft from Tombraider the video game. She wears a tight blue shirt to emphasize her size. Another video game that uses breasts as a claim to fame is Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. The game takes the females from another game, Dead or Alive 3 (a very popular karate dueling game for Xbox), who happen to have humongous breasts, and puts them on the beach playing volleyball. They have close up shots of the girls spiking, diving, and running. I guess the question we should be asking is if the game would be fun if the characters inside the game were not as attractive. I do not think so. When my little brother was playing the fighting game Dead of Alive 3 with me, he said, “Man! These Japanese creators sure must be horny!” I asked him why and he simply replied, “Look at the size of her boobs!”

Breasts are not just used in advertising, but furthermore in pop culture. Many female icons such as Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Anniston, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Lil’ Kim, and more have been known to have controversies with their boobs. Pamela Anderson, owning a pair of huge knockers, was a major star on Baywatch, a phenomenon on its own. The show entailed a crew of “double D” lifeguards accompanied by muscular, gorgeous men lead by David Hasselhoff running on the beach to save victims from drowning. The reason why peo
