Why Cant I Play with Barbie?
Why can’t I play with Barbie mommy?I was born as a Korean-American male at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. I started life as a mischievous little baby who always liked to place any foreign objects that I could get my hands on, in my mouth and ultimately found out Elmer’s glue and blue play dough did make for a tasty snack in between meals. I learned from my mother to always be persistent with pursing goals I had set for myself since she had told me that mediocre efforts wouldn’t get me to far in life but rather hinder my growth as an individual in society. I was beginning to associate myself with the female gender around me and it was not until mom signed me up for the soccer team at the local park district that I was introduced to a whole new group known as “the boys”. Playing sports opened up a whole new door for me. As a member of an all-boys soccer and basketball team as a kid, I began to assimilate myself with my masculine side. It was on these teams that I realized that boys liked to ride their bikes off of 4 feet ramps and it was the coolest thing to
