When Jesus starts his ministry he goes down to John the Baptist. In the movie he ask John to baptize him, but in the bible he never ask he just walks down and John does it. Then when John does baptize him the skies open up and shine light on him but they didn’t put in that God says that “ this is my son, in whom I am well pleased.” What the movie does is have John say that “this is the lamb of God”. Another thing that happens in the start of his ministry, in the Bible, is that Jesus brings together twelve disciples. It represents that, like God bringing together the twelve sons of Jacob to be Israel, Jesus is bringing together twelve people to bring about the new covenant with man. In the movie it shows that after Jesus is tempted in the desert, that two of the disciples are waiting for him. They basically have to talk Jesus into letting them follow him.

In the movie Jesus seems that he doesn’t really know who he is until after his father dies. But after that he seems to know exactly what his mission is in life. In the desert he says that he is the “lamb of God”. I think that this movie was a good movie over all, for some one who is new to their faith. But it has a lot of things that the director put in because they thought that it would make the movie more interesting or
