Pyramids

            One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is the great pyramid built under Khufu's reign. There have been many different views on how exactly the pyramids where built. The great mystery on how the pyramids where built has many different theories like that the "Chariots of the Gods" built them or that it was simply the Egyptians building them with their tools. They all talk about how they built the pyramid, where they got the materials and the evidence they have. .
             In the three theories that I looked at, theory number two seems to be the most logical and believable of them all. .
             In all three alternatives, there are different ways how they built the pyramid. Each theory having there own way on how they could have built one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In theory one it talks about that there are too many things that don't add up. Too many coincidences don't add up to the building of the Great Pyramid. To carry the stones from one area to another, the house and cart wasn't invented until 1600BC. The second theory is stating that the Egyptians used wooden rollers, rafts and sleds. They also found that they could have used a liquid to pour along that route to make it easier to pull the stone to the site. "French architect Henri Chevier has shown that one man can move a 1 ton block on a slippery path of the Nile mud" . This can be easily done with two workers moving the 2.2 t stones to the site with the use of this mud. Theory three says that the use of wooden rollers would have made the task much easier to complete but the earliest use of wooden rollers was in 750 BC that was 1800 years since the pyramid was built it. Also theory three thinks that the stones were made from high quality concrete and synthetic. Using molds to pour this mixture in and then to place in the necessary spots. This would have made the job much more easier then to actually lift the 2.2 t stones up high on the pyramid.
