Fitness Essay
In the past nine weeks of fitness class, I have worked hard and now it is time to reflect upon myself. Through out the quarter I have used various lifts to improve for baseball and football. I have only listed a few of them for this paper. 1. Incline Bench: This was a awkward workout before I started to actually do it regularly. Since the begging of the quarter I have made it part of my regular work out program. 2.Shoulder Shrugs: I started to do this lift only because the football lifting program made it mandatory. Now, I only do it because I want to. 3. Bench: Two months ago I wasn’t very strong in my bench press lift. It is now one of my heaviest lifts. 4. Fly’s: I couldn’t hardly do this lift before because I had a limited amount of flexibility in my pectorals. Now I can do the lift correctly and I have improved in the amount of weight I use in each rep. 5. Lat. Pull Downs: I didn’t know what this work out ever helped with in any sports, but I started to use it regularly and I have noticed that not only does it make your body look better, but it has

Dead Lift: I didn’t use to work out my back because I didn’t think it was very important, but then I realized that working my lower back and made my abs tighter and working my upper back made my chest tighter. helped my baseball swing dramatically. The most prove I can provide that I have improved through out the quarter is my physical fitness testing. That shows that I have improved in most of my strength zones. I improved in my bench by 20 pounds. That seems to be pretty good in just two months time. I improved 25 pounds in my squatting and the result of that was shaving 20 seconds off of my mile run and more then three tenths off of my shuttle run. These tests prove that my abs have gotten strong because I can do more sit up in a one minute then I could two months ago. 6. Bicep Curl: Biceps are the key muscle to any sport I have ever played. After 2 months of constantly working to achieve the goal I had made for myself, I have improved 50% in my bicep size.
