Topic: I have chosen how the birth order affects ones personality as my topic.Specific purpose: My purpose is to strengthen or change the attitudes and beliefs of the audience in regard to the influence of birth order on personality. I. Birth order is one way to gain an understanding of friends, family members, and co-workers. II. Some researchers believe how you are placed in your family can have an influence on personality traits. A. Today I am going to explain the basic categories of birth order personalities. B. I hope that you will be able to identify with many of the traits in your category. Transition: Dr. Kevin Leman is an internationally known psychologist, humorist, best-selling author, radio/TV personality, and speaker.
