Hinduism Beliefs

Hinduism seems simple at first, but, upon learning more about it, the Hinduism religion became extremely complex. It was surprising to learn that there are many key Hindu concepts that I am familiar with and practice today. In fact, many people are probably already familiar with many of the Hindu beliefs. Even though Hinduism goes much deeper into the spiritual process, it was fascinating to learn the cultural meaning behind some of their beliefs. The Hindu religion presents interesting concepts regarding life that many people practice and believe in today such as yoga, karma, and reincarnation.

One major concept the Hindu religion focuses on is yoga. Yoga is being practiced more today than ever before. Many people do not realize they are practicing a form of religion. In fact, yoga is often simply considered an exercise or a clearing. Prior to taking this class, yoga only meant various stretches and increased flexibility. Now the meaning of yoga proves to be much more spiritual, but there are going to be many people today


Although no one can really say what may come around, it is interesting to see how some people try to sort of justify their actions and foresee their own destiny by predicting their punishments. Another interesting thought is that most people are focused on the fact that karma will all happen in their current lifetime. They do not understand that in the Hindu religion karma may also affect their next life when they are reincarnated because karma is accumulated and if they have done more positive than negative then supposedly they will have a better life in the next one and vice versa. Of course the question of who is keeping tabs of the good and the bad that is done is raised as well but it is certainly hard to find someone who does not agree that there is even a little bit of karma in life. Karma in this life is certainly a valid concept, but the concept of reincarnation is highly questionable.

As in any religion, one will only accept a belief or concept if he or she chooses. While yoga and karma are widely accepted today,
