Why Are People Afraid of Obama?
The Supreme Court has refused to hear the appeal in the case of Barack Obama's U.S. citizenship. This time, even a decidedly conservative Supreme Court got it right. At a time when we need a strong, decisive leader, what would it say to the American people if he started out fighting for his political life? How would he concentrate on what needs to be done? The question that is on a lot of minds in regard to this case is what are these people afraid of? Why are they so frightened of having a black man as President? The answer is, they aren't. They are afraid of a man born of a white mother and an African father, who went to a Muslim school, and belonged a racist black church. They watched how quickly he turned his back on his pastor when the chips were down, and now they wonder if he's going to turn on us too. The fact is, they have much less to fear from Obama than they ever would have with McCain. Obama is so conscious of how much these people fear and loathe him, that he will be watching his P's and Q's very carefully. There can be no missteps in his Presidency. He, and everyone around him, will be working very hard to see that every move he makes, every word that comes out of his mouth, gives no reason for fear. He simply must come across as a unifier, a voice in the darkness in a time of need. We all need to concentrate on converting retreat into advance. Forget the fear, and move forward, for our own sakes and for the sake of our country. But as Franklin Delano Roosevelt said, coming into his Presidency in the midst of the Great Depression,
