UN Trust Fund Requests Assistance from Corporations to End Domestic Violence Against Women


            The United Nations Trust Fund in Support of Actions to Eliminate Violence against Women recently awarded $10 million in grants to 13 initiatives in 18 countries. The UN Trust Fund, which is managed by the United Nations Development Fund for Women, or UNIFEM, was established in 1996 by the United Nations, and still remains the only multilateral grant-making mechanism solely devoted to supporting local and national efforts to end violence against women and girls.
