The third and final category is the “macho guy movie”. These movies consist of just about anything with crime, war, action, sports, or nudity. Full Metal Jacket and Black Hawk Down are both considered to be guy movies. They are action-packed, with an abundance of blood, guts, and profanity. Scarface, featuring Al Pacino as a Cuban drug dealer, is another example of what men like. There is nothing but crime in this movie. Most guys enjoy films like Tombstone and Young Guns. These westerns are based on real outlaws such as Wyatt Earp and Billy the Kid. Then of course there are movies like Fightclub or Showgirls, where the title is all anyone needs to know in order to classify it as a guy movie. Occasionally, some women like these types of movies, but they usually feel the same way about guy movies as guys feel about chick flicks.
