How Shoplifting Effects the Economy

Shoplifting is a major problem in today’s world. I myself was recently caught shoplifting and now I have to face the consequences for the bad mistake I made. The temptation of not paying for something is very big factor in why people steal. The shoplifter thinks he is getting a product for free and doesn't know what he's really doing to himself and the community. Shoplifting affects yourself, your local neighborhood and the world population.

In this essay I'm going to explain some of the circumstances of stealing from local stores, or any store. After I was caught stealing, I realized how much impact something you do now will affect you for the rest of your life. I now know how much of a disadvantage it is to everyone. When this happens it causes the companies stock price to edge lower to make up for the money lost from the bankrupt businesses. This in turn, affects every stock holder because of lower stock profits. When this happens people don’t spend as much money because they don’t have as much therefore making even more businesses go bankrupt because they don’t have enough profit to survive. This in turn then starts the process over and over again. Because of these reasons the economy starts to go in a downward spiral causing big company’s to go out of businesses which effects all consumers even more because they normally have big stock shares which devastates hundreds of thousands of people that had invested in that company.

People in your community will lose respect for you. If you do know someone that is in peer court or are friends with someone that is in peer court you will get your discipline from them, believe me I know. The community service that you get is defi
